48 pages left

Not much left to go! I'm trying to finish in the next week or so. I'll keep you all posted.
Cover art should be quick once the editing is done. It'll probably take me longer to find a good pdf converter than anything. It's so hard to get a good one that switches to 6x9 and embeds fonts.

expect it on lulu within 2 weeks!

Back in Action

So I just started editing Earthbound after something like 6 months out of action. Hooray for that, eh? I also played around a little on lulu.com, adding previews to most of my books. They fiddled with a few settings here and there, and I'm not sure I'm in love with it to be honest.

We'll see how that all goes... I'll keep you all posted about Earthbound as it progresses. Keep an eye out on my new homepage on weebly, too.

ScienceNow.info

Just launched my site at www.sciencenow.info! It's the website for my Science Now - 9 Tales of Wonder and other teaching materials. I also just received my evaluation copies of the book from lulu, and they are dazzling. I am over the moon, if anyone says that anymore. They're just excellent. Loving them. Check out the site!

Earthbound

I'm still waiting on my evaluation copies of Science Now to arrive from lulu's printing presses, so I've continued work on Earthbound. It's pretty fun so far, because it doesn't really matter where it goes. A lot of times, it's when you force a story to have drama and work toward an end that it gets dull to write. Right now, I'm just having a good time imagining the interactions between the two main characters, Robert & Serafina. It should be pretty exciting for quite awhile (at least until editing).

In-Roam 2 is still continuing through development, too. I'm reading the 1st volume and surprising myself with how good it is. It's entertaining, exciting, and vulgar in just the right places. It's great. I'm getting all kinds of new ideas for the 2nd book just by reading the 1st again. More on that later.

Finally, Science Now should be launched on the new website by the end of the month. Keep an eye out for it...

Science NOW - 9 Tales of Wonder

I just finished the rough draft of Science NOW - 9 Tales of Wonder. I ordered 3 copies off of lulu. I should get them in about a week. I'll review them and see about getting a website live ASAP. That's the next step. It'll be a bit of work, but it should be nice to see if educational stories are more lucrative than fiction. They certainly were fun and easy to write...

More on that later, but once that is out of the way, I'll keep promoting them and see about getting my other projects underway.

Legends of the Sworn Lands - Shadowcaster

My latest book is finished, finally! This one probably took longer than any previous project I've done, despite not being that long. Life held me back, but it's done now! It's going to be for sale on amazon and lulu, and the map is for sale on cafepress. Also, I have some samples of cards for the game of 5's, which is featured in the book series.

I'm pretty happy with the cover, too. It took two days. If only the PDF creators had been easier. I spent 3-4 hours trying to get things formatted right.

Whew. Done!

No More Markup!

Lulu sent an email today saying that their pilot program to sell books on amazon is going well. They're also eliminating the 30% markup they had used when selling books on amazon. Therefore, it's now not cost-prohibitive to sell via amazon. I couldn't be happier. I'm going to print up a whole bunch of business cards with my name, sites, and amazon listings on them, and pepper the neighborhood with them. It'll be great.
